The latest designer to announce that it is ditching the use of fur in its clothing line is the States side luxury fashion brand,
Diane Von Furstenberg. The ban will commence in January 2019 of next year and would also include the ban on the use all animal with exotic skin, mohair and angora. This comes after the appeal from animal rights movement,

appealing to fashion houses to curtail animal curelity for the sake of fashion.

released a statement “It’s time for us to make this change and accept responsibility to ensure that we don’t promote killing animals for the sake of fashion. “We are committed to supporting the shift to a more ethical and sustainable fashion industry by providing the consumer with innovative and sophisticated alternatives.”
The brand's namesake Diane Von Furstenberg in her support of the decision of the ban also released a statement ... “I am so excited that technology has provided us a way to feel as glamorous with faux fur.”It is worthy of notice that DVF will also work closely with CFDA on a sustainability plan that will be focusing coming up with different textiles in place of fur.
“We support our chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg and her decision to go fur-free. The CFDA will work with the brand to establish a roadmap that allows DVF to maximize ethical and sustainable practices.” said CFDA president and chief executive,
