EDITOR'S NOTE:
Clean lines, smart color blocks, mere hints of details mark the new collaboration
between N21
and Stutterheim, a deeply special capsule collection unveiled in June
2018 with the SS 2019 men’s fashion show.
“This new collaboration is an aesthetic union where Stutterheim’s utilitarian style, lean
and sober, meets the urban bourgeois wardrobe that I chose for the N21 man,”
explains Alessandro Dell’Acqua, creative director of N21.
Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s signature colors relocate to the Swedish brand’s minimal
raincoats, in a perfect summation of simple shapes and complex design.
With rain setting the pace, this co-lab in polyamide jersey fabric with polyurethane
coating comes in two variants. Meanwhile, the super soft feel of the fabric teams up
with the heat welded seams that ensure total waterproofness.
“When we met we realized we shared the desire to create a meaningful product that
mirrored the reality of our brands. And, as in Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s designs, an
attitude for mixing masculine and feminine is always present in Stutterheim,” explains
Alexander Stutterheim, founder and creative director of Stutterheim.
Green joins forces with sandy beige, then finds definition in the white piping. Pure
black opts for a back polaroid print, in addition to all-white trim.
The detailing on these special waterproof raincoats includes buttons, rivets, grommets
and tone-on-tone cords.
Stutterheim x N21 will retail exclusively at N21’s international flagship stores and eshop on January 22nd 2019.
