   MENNY FT SEAN KINGSTON – WINGS

Pop artist, singer and songwriter Menny aka Itzhak Amram has been honing creative craft his whole life, after realising he was a gifted drummer at a young age, he started to explore other instruments and came to love not just music but other creative outlets including songwriting and poetry. His rich backstory has made him a great storyteller and his latest release ‘Wings’ highlights this impressive talent. Collaborating with Sean Kingston (Beautiful Girls, Fire Burning), ‘Wing’s is a feel good, pop infused dance anthem. Merging both pop and dance, the track infuses positivity with having a good time, removing any sign of the January blues. Menny stands tall on this release, showcasing his impressive songwriting skills with his ability to create an infectious melody.

NYHLA – VLOG 001: INTRODUCTION

Nyhla Records is an independent record label created by artists for artists operating out of Vancouver, British Columbia, with teamwork, passion and support at the core of the company. To better represent Vancouver, where a frustrated generation of artists are being forced to move away due to rising housing prices and lack of support for the arts meaning the music scene has been hidden from the world for decades, Nyhla records was born off of the back of this frustration, building a roster of artists that don’t subscribe to one genre, and are instead connected by their passion. In the new vlog series hosted on Nyhla’s Youtube channel, their collaborative ethic and close-knit friendship is on display, and it’s hard not to fall in love and be inspired by it all.

JACKSON DYER – CBSKY

 After the release of three independent Eps and after almost four years of living and producing in Berlin, Sydney born singer/songwriter Jackson Dyer cements himself further with his latest offering ‘CBSKY’. With influences that range from the Australian landscape and the awe-inspiring ocean that surrounded him as his songwriting developed, ‘CBSKY’ embodies the solitude and open expanses of Australia’s regional areas. A song of transition, hope and yearning for what lies beyond the horizon, ‘CBSKY’ is a captivating poetic, folk production. Taking the time to reflect and grow in a private space, aided by the beauty of the landscape, Jackson Dyer stands tall on this release, with ‘CBSKY’ proving to be one of his most memorable new cuts to date.

JOE SLATER – NOTHING EVER SEEMS TO CHANGE

Hailing from Croxeth, Liverpool and at just 22, Joe Slater delivers a smooth saturating blend of rock, blues and soul that is beyond his years. ‘Nothing Ever Seems To Change’ oozes charisma that speaks to generations both young and old alike. Highly emotive and personal, the track infuses the blues with an underlying tone of country, presenting a highly unique track. Raw, honest and upbeat, it is reminicent of the likes of Harry Styles, Bob Dylan and James Bay. Transfusing a variety of genres, ‘Nothing Ever Seems To Change’ gives Joe Slater an unexpected edge that demands to be heard.

JOAQUIN CASTE – RETURN

 Rising young Argentinian singer-songwriter Joaquin Caste, who at only 16 years of age, has managed to undeniably evoke many emotions with his impressive voice. His debut single ‘Return’, taken from his upcoming EP ‘Repetitive Thoughts’ is full of relatable lyrics and his unique voice provides the focal point of the track. Centered at the forefront of the infectious melody, his impressive vocal rangeis placed on display, highlighting his ability to completely entice his audience with just his voice. ‘Return’ hones Joaquin’s sound into captivating pop that fuses righteous lyrics with indie alternative melodies. Deeply poignant, the track proves to be a powerful first release from the Argentinian.

 CLAY AND FRIENDS – OMG

Masters of musical improvisation and freestyle, Mike Clay and his band, or Clay and Friends, pioneer a modern blend of hip-hop, soul, and everything in between. On the surface, OMG seems like an upbeat jam filled with their trademark soulful positivity, but scratch that surface and you’ll see the emotive depth beyond it. The lyrical narrative addresses the importance and fragility of life, inspire by both Mike’s unfortunate car crash and the tragic death of Mac Miller. The track perfectly encompasses their distinct, multifaceted sound with their passionately woven together brand of warmth, soul, and upbeat funk. Highly emotive, Clay and Friends stand tall on this release, proving to be one of their most powerful releases to date.
