Once again Virgil Abloh
teams up with sportswear giant Nike for his Off-White
spring/summer 2019 collection. In the show, Virgil uses real-life athletics, as well as models with the focus on track and field, with a mix of evening or cocktail wear with a sporty silhouette. The 'Queen' collection he created for Serena Williams for US Open - the one-shouldered tutu dress made a comeback. “She obviously has a stature that’s commanding and she’s a champion, but what people don’t realize: she’s equally superfeminine, loves ballet, loves to dance. That femininity came through here,” said Virgil Abloh.
With his continuous evolution with his creativity, one always looks forward to next coolest thing the self-thought designer Virgil is going to come up with. Yes, he is definitely a relevant creative head that is breaking all boundaries that we saw with the Off-White spring/summer 2019 collection.
