Levi's
draws inspiration from the 80s & 90s Hip-Pop era for it's latest Spring/Summer 2018 collection. As we all know, Levi's has always been the forerunner when it comes reaching out to the subcultures and communities for inspiration and now they are doing that again by going back into having that relationship with the Hip-Pop era which they have transgressed into the latest collection.
Talking about the recent collection, Head of Design Levi's Jonathan Cheung had this to say...“There’s a fresh streetwear influence that is making a giant impact in fashion. A palpable sense of a new guard, a new generation right at the centre of culture, moving fashion and music forward. Going into this season, we looked at the beginning of streetwear in New York and the Bronx, the early days of hip-hop, street fashion, and logo culture.”
