The Parisan boutique COLETTE, has announced today that it is closing down this coming December, an announcement that comes as a shock to the fashion world. Colette is a three-story building located on Rue Saint-Honore and known to be the best shopping stop or destination for anyone in the fashion biz, from fashion editors to style connoisseur. What makes this boutique special and fashion haven is its mix of the latest brands, exclusive niche of selected capsule pieces and contemporary collections. Also, items with eccentric features such as books and souvenirs one would not be able to find else where.
The store made a statement today saying... “As all good things must come to an end, after 20 wonderful years, Colette should be closing its doors on Dec 20 of this year. Until our last day, nothing will change. Colette will continue to renew itself each week with exclusive collaborations and offerings, also available on our website colette.fr.”

The 8,000 square foot space was founded in 1997 by Coletter Roussaux who resided above the store with her daughter Sarah Andelman who is the creative director of the store. Fashion house, Saint Laurent are said to be in talks to take over the space.
One can only hope Colette's online presences can be steadfast and continue to flourish.
