DARK, POTENT, INTOXICATING, POP SINGER TULA PRESENTS ''COLOURS''

“Colours”…a unique track which takes you from a peaceful Yoga workout to a Friday Night club the moment the second chorus drops, has completely captivated ROUGH ONLINE with its masterful use of synths and simple but yet emotive chord structure which opens the song via a distant piano behind singer Tula’s atmospheric voice, packed with so much breathy reverb that her heavenly spirit sends you into a trance. However, Tula’s new single doesn’t delve too far into the underground scheme of things, as not only does her musical style throw us back to Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon” era, but her voice alone could easily be compared to Lady Gaga’s resonant, deep yet high-pitched tone and ROUGH ONLINE could listen to this understated vocal performance all day for its simplicity, vulnerability and tenderness, as she whispers the lyrics “I hear you, I’m hearing all your colours,” ensuring your instant fall into a meditative state.

The Red One-esque “Colours,” which cleverly uses one single beat at the beginning of each bar until it builds up to a full-house of current Dance music production, featuring unusual Electro percussion, is the first release from Tula’s forthcoming new E.P, which drops very soon. Tula is most definitely one of Sweden’s best Synth music acts by far, so don’t waste any time and let her beautiful harmonies in the middle 8 section take over you up until its’ “tearjerker” of an ending, very similar to other music acts that bring you to tears on the dancefloor with their heartfelt melodies, like Robyn.
