Virgil Abloh has released his first ad campaign for Louis Vuitton since becoming the artistic director for the men's section of the luxury brand. Shifting away from the stereotypical ad campaign norms, Virgil casts a 3 years old boy by the name Alieyth. Joining Alieyth for the first part of the campaign are Leo James Davis ( 7 years old) and Luke Prael (16-year-old actor)
Alieyth, Leo James Davis and Luke Prael images are by photographer duo Vinoodh Matadin and Inez Lamsweerde with an accompanying video. The released images are meant to correlate with Martin Luther King Jr Day in America.

For the second and final part of the ad campaign is captured by Dutch photographer Raimond Wouda featuring Virgil Abloh, his studio team and students from Los Angeles as well as paintings by the work of Algerian artist Mohamed Bourouissa. The painting features as a backdrop in the studio.
“With the campaign, I wanted to make something that is universal and human at the core. Inclusive and dense, something that has gravity. So I decided I was going to focus the campaign on boyhood, not men’s wear. What makes men? The different stages in one’s life, from infancy all the way through teenager, adolescent, young adult to adult,” explains Virgil Abloh.
