ROUGH ONLINE: Tell ROUGH ONLINE a bit about yourself?
ADAM: I'm Adam, I'm a 29 year old actor from Ireland. I've been living in London now almost 10 years. I think my friends would describe as a bit of a free spirit. I try to enjoy my life as much as possible. Live in the moment. Gets me in trouble sometimes. Over all I'm pretty easygoing kinda guy! 😜

ROUGH ONLINE: Why did you get into dancing and what made you realise you wanted to pursue dancing as a career?
ADAM O'SHEA: Growing up in Rural Ireland, I wasn't exposed to any theatre growing up. I kind of fell into accidentally in my late teen when a friend dragged me to an am-dram production of a musical. I had an Eureka moment and knew this was the thing I had to do most in life. I dropped out of uni and dedicated all of my time taking class. I was luckily enough to work with the amazing Monica Loughman in here ballet company in Dublin, which allowed me to get into a performance school in London.

ROUGH ONLINE: Any challenges you have across in dancing so far?
ADAM O'SHEA: Anyone in the industry accepts that it is littered with challenges. A lot of what we do is based on physical appearance or physical health. You really need a strong mental resilience to cope with the constant critique, rejections, injury , limited jobs, career uncertainty, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I had a major car accident not long after I had graduated which took me out of the industry for approx 4 years. That was probably the most difficult period in my life.

ROUGH ONLINE: As a dancer what do you believe is your best assets?
ADAM O'SHEA: In terms of dance, I'm not the most flexible nor do I have an outstanding facility but I think I bring a sting element of performance.

ROUGH ONLINE: What is your own definition of ''YOUNG'' as being part of the ROUGH Young Thing?
ADAM O'SHEA: I'm all about living in the moment, appreciating what you have now and not allowing life to pass you by. I tend not to plan too far into the future which some would say is a fault but really I just live day to day as best I can.
