PACCBET, the Russian skatebrand has collaborated with the well known outdoor active wear brand Carharrtt WIP
in creating a 12 piece capsule collection to which a selection of the brand's iconic workwear-inspired styles have been reworked.
Inspired by the aesthetic of late ‘80s and early ‘90s skateboarding era, as well as the oversized, boxy ts of Carhartt WIP’s earliest designs, the collection celebrates loose silhouettes, hardwearing simplicity and imposing graphics.
The brand PACCBET which means ''Sunrise'' in English was founded in 2016 by Gosha Rubchinskiy and a team of Russian skaters and artist. With it's young existence, one can say the brand represents a new generation of Russian youth culture, blending apparel with the country's skate scene.
There’s a playful subversiveness to many of the pieces, as if PACCBET has hijacked a Carhartt WIP collection – the brand’s signature script font features, but spells out the name of its Moscow-based collaborator, and the typically austere Master Pant is spliced with an alternative colorway, creating a two-tone trouser. Elsewhere, the Detroit Jacket has been created in a washed denim and given new, bolder proportions, and the humble Pocket T-shirt appears with co-branded Carhartt WIP and PACCBET detailing.
The result is a capsule which features familiar Carhartt WIP staples, but reinterpreted through the eyes of Russia’s burgeoning skate scene.
The coollection will be available at Dover Street Market Stores, Carhart WIP Stores and selected skate shops.
Watch out for the Paccebet X Carhartt Wip Pop-Up at 'OCTOBER Store in Moscow.
