Opening Ceremony | AW '19 | Collection
It wasn't a runway show for Opening Ceremony
this time around but rather a showroom appointment on a one-to-one base and also a party fiesta to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The collection was showcased using famous personalities such as fashion designer Anna Sui, Priya Krishna (Food Writer), actors Greta Lee and Waris Ahluwalia and David Henry Hwang (Playwright). Talking about where he got his inspiration from, the brand's creative co-director Leon Humberton mentioned two of his style icons, 1980s pop stars Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui. Leon went on to explain his decision for the use of such well-known personalities ...“This season we decided to shoot the looks on unique personalities, friends from different fields who belong to our community and who represent the different parts of Asia.''
