Norma Unveils Sophomore Album

Swedish 3 piece outfit Norma has re-emerged from the fog of studio sessions and brainstorming to casually lift the lid on their sophomore effort. Spectacular Bid is the lushly warm and haunting buzz single to come out of the band's upcoming musical effort.

What should we expect after 10 years divided this new album and their last one? Well, if Spectacular Bid gives us a nod in any direction, it is certainly in the direction of a very modern mid-tempo rock sound. That very same sound bleeds inexorably through the speakers like cold refreshing water through a sieve. The result is haunting guitars that underscore snippets of a sports announcer's narration during a race and the lead vocals that hover gently over the thumping drums, acoustic guitar riffs, and synths.

The gents have nailed down an emotive musical uppercut with Spectacular Bid. When do you listen to the new single? Now or later? Definitely now.
