The Outstanding Achievement Award goes to Miuccia Prada as it has been announced by The British Fashion Council for The Fashion Awards which takes place on the 10th of December. Past honorees have been Anna Wintour, Donatella Versace, Karl Lagerfeld, Manolo Blahnik, and Ralph Lauren, and now one would say it is time for Miss Prada to join The Outstanding Achievement Award 'club.'
“Mrs. Prada’s intuition for the zeitgeist and her blending of multiple creative disciplines including fashion design, art, and architecture since the beginning have made her a pioneering force in our industry. I am truly looking forward to celebrating Mrs. Prada’s outstanding contribution to the industry,'' stated Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council.

As a creative director of the Prada brand, Miuccia has been at the forefront of turning thing around and making the Prada brand a force to reckoned with in the fashion industry. She has played a tremendous role in shaping in from being a family business to a global household name. A family business she took over in 1978 that made small leather goods and has transformed it into fashion's ready-to-wear sought after brand for men and women.
Under Mrs. Prada control and skill management, the Prada Group has evolved to Miu Miu and Church's, Miu Miu is known the Miuccia Prada's 'Other Soul', something she holds dear to her hear.
