Without a doubt one of the most eccentric bands ROUGH ONLINE has ever come across…and that’s why we love em’, LibraLibra are pretty much ready to take the underground Cyber Punk scene by storm with the release of their new single “Skin & Bone” which drops on all online stores today. Following the basement club, Rave-craze of Witch Hop and Noise Pop, like other notable artists such as Baby Tap, LibraLibra will without a doubt develop a following in no time, one of the reasons being that you simply cannot ignore the “loud and proud” vocals of lead singer Beth Cannon. Trust us when we say that if Cyndi Lauper if decided to go in an over-the-top, experimental Electro direction it would probably sound a little something like this, what with Cannon’s harsh yet high-pitched vocals which throw you back to 80’s Punk, Pop-Rock.
The toms in Skin & Bone’s opening are a dead give away that you will be in for a manic experience, as they build you up to the chorus nicely, which when it drops is full of multiple Dance claps and Cannon’s lifts in scale that at the end of each line deliver Gwen Stefani-esque yodels and let’s not forget the middle 8 section just before the final chorus where Beth literally screams down the microphone, ensuring that her “inner Courtney Love” is known to all listeners. LibraLibra for sure want to send you right out into space with their music, no question about it, so if you’re up for a bumpy ride of mechanically performed, distorted guitars which bring about an Industrial vibe fused with synths that are quite simply “cray-cray”…give “Skin & Bone” a listen to now.
