LEANNE MARSHALL Skips New York Fashion Week

Leanne Marshall, a former winner of Project Runner has confirmed she is skipping New York Fashion Week in September. The decision was made due to the fact that she wants to focus more on developing an intimate and personal connection with her consumers. This means Leanne collection will be cut down from 40 ready-to-wear to 10 -12 thoughtful pieces with an in-depth feminine ethereal style. Leanne Marshall also stated another avenue she looking into is to make her collection more accessible to her consumers and funds will be used in pushing direct-to-consumer and investing in her retail business to create growth. Skipping fashion week says Leanne, means more time will be available for her to re-channel energy into her loyal brides and also continue to push forward with her developing her growing wedding gown business. I think if asked, one can certainly say it's a smart move for the designer as now can really focus on her consumers than having the pressure creating a show and the hassles it comes with it.
