A crowd of men shouting “oh yeah” at the top of their lungs in response to Morgan’s catchy hook puts the biggest smile on your face, while you embrace his traditional country vocal, superb harmonies and prepare yourself for the biggest summer party yet as them distorted guitars and heavy live drums energise the chorus section exactly how we expected it to, with its’ spot-on use of major chords. The singer’s adlibs, in the short instrumental section after the second chorus, wreak of perfection, containing stunning use of reverb leading into its finale.

The official music video keeps things very simple and homemade, capturing many joyful moments on camera of Evans swimming, going down water slides, taking selfies, and having a liquid lunch, all with his female partner-in-crime. The feel-good “Day Drunk” video also showcases beautiful views of the landscape in Hawai, which overall kind of makes you wish you were there with them to enjoy the ride.
