An announcement has been made by London's Victoria & Albert Museum
of an exhibition solely dedicated to British Photographer Tim Walker. The exhibition is set to start between September 2019 and March 2020 and it will be centered on Tim Walker work and creative process. The exhibition will be designed by the photographer closest friend and Art Director Shona Heath. She plans to include Tim Walker's photographs, film, photographic sets and special installation and also a series of newly commissioned works.
As rightly stated on the V&A website... ”The show pays tribute to Walker's distinctive contribution to image-making, while also exploring the work of his creative collaborators. It will shine a light on the important roles played by set designers, stylists, make-up artists, models, and muses, who all help bring Walker's unique ideas to life.''
It is important to note that Tim Walker has had his work exhibited in London Design Museum where his body of work was on exhibition in 2008 and the same year he carried away the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator at the British Fashion Awards. For those of us who have the privilege of seeing Tim's work published in various fashion publication such as Vogue, Haper Bazaar, W and more and also seen some outstanding advertising campaign he has captured leaves more to be desired. Stay tuned and watch out for the exhibition next month.
